Kitafuneba Artwall Project / construction site design / Kitasenba Club
When Osaka was called the kitchen of the country, Kitasenba was an the area of merchant culture. With time, the unique atmosphere of that period disappeared.
The noble language of Senba was also forgotten.
The project started with the intention of reaffirming the richness of Senba streets by rediscovering its hidden and forgotten culture.

Phrases in the local language of Senba are printed horizontally to be read while walking. To balance this setting, words in a moderate type size are placed vertical.
The fence is located in a narrow alley crossed by an intersection. Each street approaching the intersection is wrapped with words from Senba parlance. The fragments of the place are reconnected with a temporary fence.
